1. Combination solid-state (LED) Light, Loudspeaker system. Code-named “LumiSpeak”. (Patent #7,784,957 B2)
a. A method of combining the emerging high-brightness light-emitting-diode (HBLED) technology with loudspeaker technology that replaces standard ceiling mounted light cans with a mechanically and aesthetically similar fixture that is able to emit both a high-quality, highly efficient, very long lasting light and background audio from a single, usually already existing “hole-in-the-ceiling”.2. A series of six methods that improve mounting/installation of loudspeaker systems. (Patent-Pending #12/542,670)
a. Tool-less frame to ceiling mounting mechanism. A method for quickly and securely mounting/dismounting a loudspeaker mounting frame system into a ceiling panel that does not require tools, other that the human hand. It activates/deactivates all the retention clamps simultaneously, greatly reducing the time and complexity of installing the system.
b. Tool-less frame to baffle latching mechanism. A method of quickly coupling a baffle assembly into a previously mounted frame that does not require tools, other than the human hand.
c. Rotational instant connection mechanism. A method of making an electrical connection between a mounting frame and a separate baffle assembly that does not require the two to be separately wired.
d. No-strip connector mechanism. A method of terminating stranded wires that doesn’t require previously “stripping” the wire. The system also accommodates a wide range of wire sizes as are typically used to install loudspeakers into a wall cavity. It also carries large amounts of current, thereby negating any effects the termination system might have on the wire/connector system’s ability to carry/transmit current. It also incorporates an environmental isolation system (in the form of optional “grease pills”) that is activated after the wires are inserted/terminated making it near impervious to loss of connection due to corrosion and making it ideal for marine applications.
e. On-wall sliding bracket system. A method for quickly installing and securely retaining, without the use of tools, an on-wall loudspeaker system to a previously installed bracket. The previously installed bracket is small, light, easy to position and secure and terminate without the need to balance a heavy loudspeaker system with one hand while manipulating tools, wires, etc. simultaneously. It is automatically terminated as part of its “slide-on” installation.
f. Linear instant connector mechanism. A method of terminating a loudspeaker system as installed using the on-wall sliding bracket system above without the need for a separate connection operation. It also allows for environmental isolation and the use of isolating greases.3. A tool-less “instant” multiple-latch mounting system targeted toward the commercial sound industry (Patent-Pending US 2010/0252703 A1)
a. A method for quickly and securely mounting/dismounting a loudspeaker system into a suspended ceiling panel without requiring the use of tools – other than the human hand. It “self captures” before being tightened into place. All latches are activated/tightened simultaneously with a simple twist of an activation ring. It presents no plastic components to the back-side of the panel improving its resistance to fire-penetration.
